Video DaVinci Resolve Premiere Color Grading YouTube
Coming Soon
Tell stories through motion. Video production covers camera work, lighting, editing, color grading, and publishing — from smartphone content to cinematic productions.
This course builds from shooting fundamentals through DaVinci Resolve editing to color grading, motion graphics, and publishing workflows.
Start Here — Learning Roadmap
A suggested path from zero to professional video production. Follow these steps in order:
- Learn your camera — Understand exposure (aperture, shutter speed, ISO), white balance, and frame rates on whatever camera you have, even a smartphone
- Master composition and framing — Study the rule of thirds, leading lines, depth, and shot types (wide, medium, close-up, establishing)
- Set up your editing environment — Install DaVinci Resolve (free) and learn the timeline, importing footage, basic cuts, and exporting
- Study lighting fundamentals — Learn three-point lighting, natural vs artificial light, and how light direction shapes mood
- Practice audio capture — Good audio is half the production; learn microphone placement, room treatment, and syncing external audio
- Develop your edit workflow — Assembly cuts, rough cuts, fine cuts, J/L cuts, match cuts, and pacing with music
- Learn color correction and grading — Balance your footage first (correction), then apply creative looks (grading) using scopes and LUTs
- Add motion graphics and titles — Use DaVinci Resolve Fusion or After Effects to create lower thirds, transitions, and animated graphics
- Understand encoding and delivery — Export settings for YouTube, social media, broadcast, and cinema; codecs, bitrates, and container formats
- Build a portfolio and publish — Create a demo reel, establish a YouTube channel or portfolio site, and develop a consistent style
